CCC Does the GetSmART! Learning Series

Our friends at the Arkansas Arts Council invited us to lead a workshop for their GetSmART! Learning Series this coming Sunday, December 11, at 2 pm CST. We'll be talking about "How to Start a Nonprofit (And If You Should)".

The workshop will cover what defines the nonprofit sector, the specific steps you'd need to take to prepare for and incorporate a nonprofit organization, and a discussion of reasons you might think twice!

All GetSmART! online workshops are free, but registration is required!

Have You Met Omaya Jones?

Omaya Jones, health care expert with Families First/Jones Insurance, partnered with the Center for Cultural Community

Many area creative workers struggle to find, access, or afford health insurance. We partner with local health care expert, Omaya Jones, from Families First/Jones Insurance Agency, to offer guidance and assistance in locating coverage and navigating the insurance marketplace.

Each year, the CCC works with Omaya to alert and inform our community about the Department of Health and Human Service's Health Insurance Marketplace. The 2023 open enrollment period to sign up for coverage ends on January 15th! If you're interested in signing up, you can talk with Omaya about all the details by emailing him - omayajones@gmail.com - or giving him a call - (501) 944-7858.

Help Us Have a Happy Holiday

We love all of our donors. You make our work possible and inspire us to do more. We especially want to thank our regular donors and our monthly givers. Your consistency helps keep our bills paid and our programs robust.

Each year, we make new plans and form new strategies about how to keep evolving. This year is certainly no different. We've completely reworked our development approach and are now entirely focused on raising funds specifically to support individual programs. That said, we still do have those bills! While we're planning to make fewer asks for general use funds, we remain deeply appreciative of all your donations.

You can help us make our programs as wonderful as possible (and help us keep the lights on) by mailing us a check to our PO Box (listed below) or giving via PayPal on our website. You can also set us as your favorite charity through the PayPal Giving Fund or use Amazon Smile to support us while you shop!

We also accept donations on our Facebook and Instagram profiles! Just hit the Donate button at the top of the page or set up your own fundraiser and try to reach a total with your friends!

And again, THANK YOU to ALL of our donors. You mean so much to us!
